Earth Day Celebration: “What is Gleaning?” and Grafting Demonstrations

Join us in celebrating Earth Day with an exploration of gleaning programs on Vashon, led by Catherine Johnson of Vashon Island Growers Association (VIGA), followed by a grafting demonstration and discussion.

Complimentary grafted fruit trees from the demos for members while supplies last. Apple scionwood, a few other fruits, and “Mark” apple rootstock available by donation ($1 for scionwood and $4 for rootstock).

We will also have grafted apple and pear trees available by donation (per tree cost is $15 for VIFC members, $18 for non-members). Please see form here to reserve your preferred trees.
